Riaan:   Public Relations Officer, Marketer and Sound Engineer

Biography:

I was born in Parow in the Western Cape and completed my schooling at Mikro Primary School in Kuilsriver and at the Tygerberg Commercial High School in Parow.   Thereafter I completed my two year military training.

Being a nature lover, I also enjoy travelling and it’s always great, when we’re on tour, to discover new places and experience the various ‘flavours’ of various towns and villages.

I have a passion for people.   As a young, energetic little boy, I always made friends very easily and today I take great pleasure in getting to know people and walking that extra mile with them.

Just like Jesus cares for people, He wants us to care for others around us and help each other.  We ought to be the eyes, the hands and the feet of Jesus on earth and make a difference in other people’s lives.

The greatest test of faith that I had as a father, was to resign from my job to enter into the ministry on a full-time basis and start living by faith, with my wife and two children.   There I learnt:   when God calls you, He cares for you.
